Il Dr. Batrucci, rimasto vedovo, vorrebbe risposarsi con Irene, una giovane donna di cui è profondamente innamorato. La decisione suscita la gelosia e il feroce rancore della figlia dell'uomo, Angela, che indagando sul passato di Irene scopre una storia di relazioni lesbiche finita con un suicidio. Angela ne trae buon partito per architettare un ricatto ai danni di Irene, coinvolgendola in un incontro saffico e facendo riprendere la scena a un amico fotografo, Sandro.
